Joe DeRosier – President
Joe DeRosier has been working with youth for most of his life; from coaching youth sports (elementary thru HS teams), refereeing, mentoring and providing leadership to everyone that he’s worked with. He has worked with Adidas & Nike specialty camps for almost 10 years and is activity sought out for guidance when it comes to youth athletics. One of his most significant accomplishments has been coaching AAU, where his team went on a 42 game winning streak (spanning a 3 year time frame) in AAU league play.
Over the last 10 years he’s been building the “Advantage Sports” brand and growing that company from a startup of only 6 players to over 350 players training year-around. His goal is to take what he’s learned with Advantage Sports and grow a brand new organization around the same philosophy! Take the time to really work with kids, build relationships that last and help them get to where they want to be. This is where you see life changing events start to happen with them and their families and that’s what we’re all about!
Michael DeRosier – Director of Basketball Operations & Head Basketball Trainer
Coach Michael DeRosier has been coaching for many years now and brings a wealth of talent and knowledge to the program. He played his College ball in Washington State, where he ended up being 11th in the nation in 3 point shots made per game.
He has actually been coaching as a Lead coach for Advantage Sports for 5 years, Coached for both Nike & Adidas invitation only camps and is now stepping up to take on the reigns of “Director of Basketball Operations” for the DeRosier Basketball Academy. His ability to teach at any level has made it possible for him to be coaching younger players, while taking on College & Professional players.
